Our Badge
Our badge is a Greek lyre of gold, garnished with rubies and pearls. Three twisted strings spanned diagonally by a raised scroll bearing the Greek letters Alpha Chi Omega in gold. The lyre was the first musical instrument to be played by the gods on Mt. Olympus. This was chosen to represent Alpha Chi Omega because at the time we were the first musical women's fraternity in the nation.
The Lyre badge worn by initiated sisters of Alpha Chi Omega represents the heart and soul of what we stand for and honors our musical background. It was voted the most beautiful badge of all sororities! When a sister of Alpha Chi wears her badge she is to exemplify and uphold the standards and beliefs of our fraternity. These five standards include leadership ability, financial responsibility, personal develpment, academic interest and character.
Our Open Motto
"Together let us seek the heights".
The saying sisters of Alpha Chi live by to show that together we can accomplish all of our goals and more.
